Ashleigh Theberge

Ashleigh Theberge is a Professor in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Washington, within the College of Arts & Sciences. Her research focuses on developing bioanalytical chemistry tools for medical and environmental applications, including biomimetic microfluidic systems and at-home diagnostic sampling technologies. She collaborates with clinicians to investigate chemical mechanisms underlying conditions such as asthma, allergy, infectious diseases, and environmental exposures.

Dr. Theberge holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Cambridge (2012). Her work integrates cell culture analysis, environmental monitoring, and clinical diagnostics. She currently leads the BCME Lab, advancing translational research at the interface of chemistry and medicine.

Notable affiliations include the UW Department of Chemistry and the Bioanalytical Chemistry for Medicine and the Environment research group. She is not currently accepting new graduate students.
