Ashis Mondal is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pathology at the Medical College of Georgia, Augusta University. His work bridges clinical molecular diagnostics and academic research, with a strong focus on developing and validating molecular tests for patient care.
His research interests include:
- Discovery of biomarkers in hematological malignancies and solid tumors
- Development and clinical validation of molecular/genetic assays
- Applications of molecular biology in diagnostics
- Genetics and gene regulation
- Quality assurance in molecular testing
His recent publications in 2022 reflect expertise in advanced genomic technologies such as optical genome mapping, multiplex PCR, and microbiome analysis, applied to conditions including COVID-19, reproductive genetics, and colorectal cancer. These works highlight a strong trend in translational research, integrating molecular diagnostics with clinical outcomes.
