Ashique KhudaBukhsh is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Software Engineering at the Golisano College of Computing and Information Sciences, Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT). He directs the Social Insight Lab and is affiliated with the ESL Global Cybersecurity Institute. His research focuses on NLP and AI for Social Impact, addressing challenges in multilingual social media analysis, political polarization, and auditing AI systems for unintended harms. His work has been featured in top AI conferences and media outlets like The New York Times and BBC.
Education: PhD in Artificial Intelligence from Carnegie Mellon University (2017). He joined RIT in 2021. Notable awards include the RIT GGCIS Emerging Scholar Award (2023) and selection for the AAAI 2024 New Faculty Highlight program.
