Asad Siddiqi, D.O., CAQSM, RMSK serves as Assistant Professor of Clinical Rehabilitation Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College and Chief of Rehabilitation Medicine at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital. His clinical practice spans multiple locations including NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Group - Brooklyn and The Center for Community Health at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist.
Dr. Siddiqi specializes in sports medicine with expertise in comprehensive management of acute and chronic sports injuries, concussion care, and injury prevention. His research interests prominently feature sports medicine, musculoskeletal ultrasound, adaptive sports, and performing arts medicine. He employs an integrated, multi-disciplinary approach to non-operative management of sports injuries, utilizing ultrasound for both diagnostic and interventional guidance.
Dr. Siddiqi serves as a National Level Team Physician for USA Basketball and Head Paralympic Team Physician for USA Wheelchair Basketball and USA Paralympic Shooting. His scholarly contributions include publications on neurological aspects of sports injuries, with a focus on diagnostic procedures and clinical assessment in rehabilitation medicine.
His professional recognition includes being named Faculty Teacher of the Year for the combined departments of rehabilitation medicine at Weill Cornell and Columbia for the 2019-2020 academic year. He maintains active membership in the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine and the Association of Academic Physiatrists.
Dr. Siddiqi is deeply involved in medical education, teaching medical students, residents, and sports medicine fellows. He serves as team physician for multiple organizations including the United Nations International School and the CUNY Intercollegiate Adaptive Sports Program, demonstrating his commitment to community health and athlete development across diverse populations.
