Arunima Malik is an Associate Professor at the University of Sydney, affiliated with the School of Physics (Integrated Sustainability Analysis group) and the Business School (Discipline of Accounting, Governance & Regulation). Her interdisciplinary research bridges Science and Business, focusing on sustainability supply chain assessments across environmental, social, and economic dimensions.
Her work analyzes global frameworks like the Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development, emphasizing hybrid life cycle assessment techniques for organizational and industry sustainability. She has pioneered Scope 3 emissions analysis, renewable energy evaluations, and climate risk modeling, with applications spanning healthcare, tourism, and construction materials.
Her recent publications highlight trends in quantifying carbon footprints of global leisure and healthcare, nitrogen management for food security, and trade-driven resource depletion. She is a member of the Sydney Environment Institute, Sydney Institute of Agriculture, Sydney Southeast Asia Centre, and Sydney Nano Institute.
