Arun Durvasula

Arun Durvasula, PhD, is an Assistant Professor at the Keck School of Medicine, University of Southern California, affiliated with the Center for Genetic Epidemiology and Department of Population and Public Health Sciences.

• Education: B.S. in Biotechnology (UC Davis), PhD in Human Genetics (UCLA, 2021), Postdoctoral Research Fellow (Harvard University)
• Research Focus: Statistical genomics, human evolutionary history, genetic epidemiology, and context-specific genetic effects
• Software Development: Co-developer of PSMC+, MalAdapt, ArchIE, and ANGSD-wrapper
• Current Research: Developing statistical tools for gene-environment interactions, archaic introgression analysis, and demographic history reconstruction
