Arturo Chang is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science at the University of Toronto. His research focuses on popular movements, nation-building, race and ethnicity, and Indigenous, Latin American, and Latinx politics.
- Education: B.A. from DePaul University; M.A. and Ph.D. from Northwestern University.
His work employs postcolonial, decolonial, comparative, and historical methods in political theory. His forthcoming book, "Imagining America: Hemispheric Nation-Building and Revolution in the New World" (Princeton University Press), examines hemispheric politics and cultural production in shaping postcolonial movements across the Americas. His research has been published in journals such as the American Journal of Political Science, American Political Science Review, and Contemporary Political Theory.
