His scholarship critically examines the intersections of race, gender, and sexuality in Shakespeare and early modern literature. Little investigates historical processes of racialization and their contemporary ethical implications, with a focus on whiteness and critical race theory. He is a leading voice in anti-racist Shakespeare studies, currently developing book projects such as "Black Hamlet" and "Shakespeare and Critical Race Theories". His work consistently bridges historical analysis with urgent social justice concerns.
