معرفی
Arthur Dogariu is an Associate Professor in the Department of Aerospace Engineering at Texas A&M University, leading the ALLEMO (Aerospace Laboratory for Lasers, ElectroMagnetics, and Optics). His research focuses on advanced optical diagnostics for gases and plasmas, with applications in hypersonics and combustion. He also explores remote detection, nonlinear optics, and ultrafast phenomena.
Education: Ph.D. from the Center for Research and Education in Optics and Lasers (CREOL), University of Central Florida (1997); Physics Engineer Diploma from the University of Bucharest, Romania (1991).
Research highlights include femtosecond laser velocimetry, air lasing mechanisms, and radar-based plasma measurements. His work addresses challenges in aerospace engineering, plasma physics, and optical instrumentation.
- Awards: Fellow of the Optical Society of America (2020), Honorary Member of the Academy of Romanian Scientists (2018), and multiple international honors.
His research group develops cutting-edge optical tools for hypersonic flow analysis and plasma diagnostics. Current projects include FLEET velocimetry in arc-jet facilities and radar-based electron loss rate measurements in air.
Labs & Teams: Directs the ALLEMO lab, collaborating with industry and government agencies on advanced aerospace diagnostics.
