Dr. Arthur D. Middleton is a Professor of Wildlife Management at UC Berkeley's Department of Environmental Science, Policy, & Management. He leads research on wildlife ecology and conservation in working landscapes.
Research examines ungulate migration, carnivore ecology, and human-wildlife coexistence in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem and Patagonia. Field studies investigate how environmental change affects behavioral ecology and trophic interactions.
Publications explore migration plasticity, road impacts on guanacos, and conservation-tourism tradeoffs. Dr. Middleton directs a research group studying climate adaptation and landscape connectivity while mentoring graduate students.
