Artem R. Oganov is a Distinguished Professor at Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology (Skoltech), where he serves as Head of the Material Discovery Laboratory and Chairman of the Scientific Committee of VYZOV Prize. His groundbreaking work in crystal structure prediction has established him as a leading figure in materials science, with his USPEX algorithm adopted by over two thousand researchers worldwide.
Professor Oganov's research centers on computational materials discovery, particularly in high-pressure physics and superconductivity. His development of the USPEX algorithm revolutionized the field by enabling accurate prediction of crystal structures.
