Arpi Mangasaryan is a researcher at the CRENAU laboratory (UMR CNRS 1563 AAU), a joint research unit between Université Grenoble Alpes, École Nationale Supérieure d'Architecture de Nantes, École Nationale Supérieure d'Architecture de Grenoble, and Centrale Nantes. Her work bridges architectural pedagogy and artificial intelligence through the International Ambiances network.
Educational background includes:
- Master of Architecture from Hochschule Anhalt (2015-2017)
- Bachelor's in Architecture & Design from National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia (2010-2014)
- Fine Arts training at Abovyan Art School (2009-2013)
Her research explores AI-driven architectural pedagogy, generative design processes, and immersive urban storytelling. Recent work examines how generative AI transforms architectural education and creative practice, with focus areas including human-AI collaboration frameworks, curriculum development for technology integration, and speculative urban futures.
Professional experience includes significant roles in AI industry applications as Product Manager at SuperAnnotate and MagicalLabs, where she developed machine learning solutions for large-scale data annotation. She founded re.set school in Armenia to reform architectural education through visual media and public discourse.
Laboratory affiliation: CRENAU Research Team focuses on ambient architectures and urban environments, with Arpi contributing to projects exploring AI's role in architectural pedagogy and immersive experiences.
