Arnaud Maurel

Arnaud Maurel is an Associate Professor of Economics at Duke University's Trinity College of Arts & Sciences, with a joint affiliation at the Duke Population Research Institute. His research focuses on labor economics, education policy, and microeconometrics, particularly addressing post-secondary education demand, occupational choices, and methodological challenges in treatment effect models. He holds editorial roles at Quantitative Economics, Journal of Business and Economic Statistics, and Annals of Economics and Statistics.

Maurel received his Ph.D. from the Paris School of Economics (2010). He has been awarded grants from the National Science Foundation and the European Research Council, and was honored with the 2015 Dennis J. Aigner Award for empirical econometrics. His work bridges theoretical econometrics and applied policy analysis, with recent grants supporting continuous-time job search modeling and data combination techniques.
