Arnaud Gautier

Arnaud Gautier is a Professor of Chemistry at the Faculty of Science & Engineering of Sorbonne University. He leads the 'Chemogenetics to image and control cells' research team within the Chimie Physique et Chimie du Vivant (CPCV) laboratory, a joint research unit (UMR 8228) of Sorbonne Université, ENS-PSL, and CNRS.

His research focuses on developing molecular tools to observe and modulate cellular processes with high precision. By combining chemistry with protein engineering and genetic tools, Professor Gautier's team creates novel approaches for quantitative imaging and acute modulation of individual cellular components across different temporal and spatial scales.

His work spans chemical biology, molecular imaging techniques, and cellular function control, with applications ranging from fundamental biological mechanisms to disease understanding and therapeutic development. Professor Gautier is based at Sorbonne University in Paris, with his office located in Tour 23-33, 5th floor, office 510 at 4, place Jussieu.
