Armando Zuniga is an Adjunct Associate Professor in the Department of Humanities and Sciences at ArtCenter, where he also directs the Writing Center. Previously, he served as Assistant Director of the Center for Equity for English Learners at Loyola Marymount University, with international teaching and consulting experience in language pedagogy.
He holds a doctorate in Organizational Change and Leadership from the University of Southern California's Rossier School of Education. His dissertation investigated organizational dynamics affecting instructional coaches for English Language Learner (ELL) teachers.
Research Focus: Dr. Zuniga's scholarship examines language acquisition frameworks and institutional systems, including:
- Second-language acquisition methodologies
- Culturally responsive teaching practices
- Organizational change theory
- Faculty development for ELL support
- Systems theory applications in education
