Arkajyoti Roy

Dr. Arkajyoti Roy is an Assistant Professor in the Management Science and Statistics Department at the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA), housed within the Alvarez College of Business. He also serves as a Core Faculty member in UTSA's School of Data Science and previously held faculty positions at Bowling Green State University and a Visiting Research Fellowship at Northwestern University. His research focuses on applying robust optimization and data analytics to improve healthcare outcomes and sustainable infrastructure services. He collaborates closely with clinicians to develop models for cancer radiotherapy and scheduling, while also addressing equitable and resilient service delivery in infrastructure systems.

Education includes a Ph.D. and B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University. He currently serves as the Undergraduate Advisor for the BBA in Business Analytics program at UTSA. Dr. Roy is actively involved with professional societies like INFORMS and POMS, and his work has been published in leading journals across medical, sustainability, and operations research fields. His awards include the 2024 Recognition of Meritorious Reviewers. Research interests span robust optimization frameworks, healthcare analytics, and sustainable operations, with a focus on translating technical solutions into real-world clinical and infrastructure applications.
