Arkadiusz Białek is Assistant Professor in the Department of Developmental and Educational Psychology at Jagiellonian University's Faculty of Philosophy. His research examines cultural influences on early cognitive development.
Research focuses on:
- Cognitive development in cross-cultural contexts
- Early social cognition and theory of mind
- Preverbal communication development
- Perspective-taking mechanisms
He directs the ChildLab UJ research facility investigating childhood cognitive development and serves as managing editor for Przegląd Psychologiczny. Research grants include studies on stability of theory of mind development and second-person affordances in social interaction.
