Arjun S. Sebastian

Dr. Arjun S. Sebastian is an Assistant Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. He specializes in spine surgery with a focus on degenerative spine conditions, deformity correction, and minimally invasive techniques. His clinical expertise includes cervical and lumbar spine disorders, spinal trauma, and complex spinal reconstructions.

Dr. Sebastian completed his MD and MS in Applied Anatomy from Case Western Reserve University (2011), followed by orthopedic surgery residency at Mayo Clinic (2016) and spine surgery fellowship at the Rothman Institute (2017). He holds certifications in orthopedic surgery and maintains active memberships in societies like the Cervical Spine Research Society and North American Spine Society.

His research interests center on improving surgical outcomes through innovations in spinal instrumentation, bone quality assessment (using Hounsfield units), and understanding sarcopenia's impact on spinal fusion.
