Aristotle Dimitrakopoulos is an Associate Professor at the University of Ioannina's Department of Architectural Engineering, a position he has held since 2016. His academic career spans multiple continents with teaching roles at the University of Patras, Savannah College of Art & Design (USA/France), and Frederick University (Cyprus), along with visiting lectureships at institutions including Technische Universität München (2019), Bezalel School of Architecture (2019), and Architectural Association School (2005).
His research explores:
- Innovative approaches to architectural design and urban planning
- Scenography and spatial experience design
- Development of health infrastructure and educational facilities
- Public-private partnership models for urban projects
Professional accomplishments include significant contributions to the Comcast Tower in Philadelphia and New Acropolis Museum in Athens during his tenure at renowned New York firms. He founded Aristotheke Eutectonics in 2002, focusing on experimental design solutions. Recognitions include a DAAD scholarship for his 2018 affiliation with Staatliche Akademie der Bildenden Künste Stuttgart.
He holds a National Technical University of Athens degree (1998) and Yale Master of Architecture (2000), supplemented by scenography training at Yale School of Drama.
