Aristidis Matsoukis is a Lecturer at the Agricultural University of Athens, specializing in Bioclimatology and Agricultural Meteorology. His research focuses on the interaction between meteorological factors and plant/animal organisms, including phenological studies, urban and rural bioclimatic assessments, and fire risk modeling.
- Education: Agronomist (1991) and Doctorate (2001) from Agricultural University of Athens
- Teaching: Undergraduate/postgraduate courses at AUA, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, and University of the Peloponnese
His work spans bioclimatic evaluations in burned/unburned ecosystems, agricultural phenology, and microenvironmental regulation of plant growth. He has supervised 29 undergraduate theses and contributed to over 70 publications. Recent research explores global boiling impacts on irrigation (2025), temperature-phenology relationships in crops (2024), and climate variables affecting animal physiology (2023). Articles frequently address Greek regional climate dynamics, employing statistical and neural network models for environmental assessments.
At the AUA, he contributes to courses in Bioclimatology and Agricultural Meteorology, with a focus on applied exercises and climate change interventions. His expertise in growth regulator effects on ornamental plants underscores practical applications of bioclimatic research.
