Arife Kose

Arife Kose is an Associate Tutor in the School of Politics, Philosophy and Area Studies at the University of East Anglia, within the Faculty of Arts and Humanities. She is a PhD candidate researching rhetorical dimensions of authoritarianism in non-authoritarian political contexts, focusing on Erdogan's speeches. Her work integrates political theory and discourse analysis, supported by UEA's Faculty of Arts and Humanities funding.

Her research interests center on democratic erosion, authoritarian discourse, and political rhetoric. She employs Rhetorical Political Analysis (RPA) to dissect speeches by Turkish leaders, particularly addressing Erdogan's rhetorical strategies and their implications for democratic governance. Her work bridges theory and practice, offering tools to identify authoritarian elements in modern political communication.
