Prof. Arie Zwiep is a Full Professor of Hermeneutics at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. He specializes in New Testament studies and biblical-philosophical hermeneutics, focusing on Luke-Acts, Synoptic Gospels, historical Jesus research, and the interplay between presuppositions and interpretation. His work bridges biblical scholarship with thinkers like Gadamer, Ricoeur, and Derrida.
