Arianna Marcell is a Speciality Instructor of Dance at Belhaven University, joining the institution since 2022. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from Belhaven University and has received prestigious awards, including the Bezalel Award for Artistic Achievement, Diakonos Award for Service, and Daniel Award for Academic Excellence. Her expertise spans choreography, performance, and dance education, with a focus on community engagement and collaborative exploration.
Marcell’s training includes programs at the American Dance Festival, Dallas Black Dance Theatre, Doug Varone and Dancers, and Bates Dance Festival. Notable performances include a featured role in South Korean choreographer Sung Yong Kim’s work at the Kennedy Center and pieces by Rennie Harris. She has also served as the USA International Ballet Competition (IBC) Dance School Assistant (2014), Artistic Manager for the USA IBC Reunion Gala (2016), and Administrator of the 2018 USA IBC Dance School.
Currently, she co-directs the Dance Ministry Ensemble and serves as Resident Choreographer and Rehearsal Director. Her teaching includes courses such as Modern Dance Technique and Dance Production. Marcell has also taught ballet, modern, and jazz in Barbados at Pearls Dance Academy.
