Arianna Falbo is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Philosophy at Bentley University. She holds a PhD from Brown University (where she also completed a Doctoral Certificate in Gender and Sexuality Studies), an MA from Simon Fraser University, and an HBA from the University of Toronto. As a first-generation college student from Mississauga, Ontario, her background informs her academic perspective.
Her research focuses on epistemology, ethics, feminist philosophy, and social philosophy, with particular emphasis on norms governing rational inquiry and the relationship between inquiry and injustice. Her work intersects with social justice issues, including how systemic barriers affect marginalized groups in academic philosophy.
Dr. Falbo's publications demonstrate sustained engagement with epistemic injustice, inquiry ethics, feminist epistemology, and technology's philosophical implications. Her recent articles explore:
- Hermeneutical injustice and conceptual resources
- AI's impact on language and cultural identity
- Zetetic turns in epistemology
- Educational equity for first-generation/low-income philosophy students
Her work consistently addresses how knowledge practices interact with social structures.
