Ari Hartikainen is a Doctoral Student at the School of Engineering, Aalto University. His research focuses on road engineering, pavement analysis, radar signal processing, and 3D printing applications in construction. He holds a Dipl.ins. (2014) and Tekn. kand. (2013) in Civil Engineering and Urban Technology from Aalto University.
His work includes developing predictive models for pavement maintenance, processing radar signals for road surface analysis, and creating 3D-printed molds for joint surface roughness studies. He co-developed the ArviZ library for Bayesian model analysis in Python and contributed to datasets like httpstan.
Key research areas span civil infrastructure systems, statistical modeling, and open-source software tools. His collaborations involve international teams and institutions, contributing to advancements in road maintenance technologies and material testing methodologies.
