Dr. Areti Manataki is a Lecturer in Computer Science at the University of St Andrews, specializing in health data science and AI applications in healthcare. She holds a PhD from the University of Edinburgh and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and member of the Young Academy of Scotland. Her research focuses on AI-enabled process mining, healthcare workflow optimization, and data visualization for medical communication. She teaches courses on Information Visualization and Human-Computer Interaction Principles.
Key areas of research include analyzing disease trajectories of multimorbidity using data science, improving patient flow in hospitals through workflow analysis, and designing interactive tools like the MyGDM app for gestational diabetes management.
