Dr. Arben Kita is a Senior Lecturer in Finance at the University of Liverpool Management School (ULMS). He holds a BSc in Economics from the University of Bologna, an MSc from Bocconi University, and a PhD in Finance from the University of Bangor. Prior to academia, he worked in M&A deals for Veolia, focusing on renewable energy projects. His research interests span empirical asset pricing, behavioral finance, macro-finance, and market microstructure. Notable publications include studies on credit options, volatility timing, and sovereign debt arbitrage.
Before joining ULMS, he taught at the University of Groningen, University of Southampton, and Nottingham University Business School. His research has been published in journals like the Journal of Money, Credit and Banking and Journal of Corporate Finance. He coordinates modules such as Managerial Finance (ULMS767) and teaches Derivatives and Alternative Investments.
