Arash Kordestani is a Senior Lecturer in Logistics at the Department of Social Sciences, Södertörn University. His research focuses on digitalization and sustainable supply chains, with expertise spanning blockchain, machine learning, circular economy, and public procurement.
Research Themes: His work includes:
- Improving forecasting methods using machine learning in the grocery retail sector
- Developing return logistics systems for circular use of flat glass in construction
- Promoting green public procurement in the energy sector via the Horizon 2020 XPRESS project with 15 countries
Grants: He has received funding from the Swedish Energy Agency, European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), Swedish Trade Development Council, Handelsbanken’s research foundations, Horizon 2020, and Vinnova.
Publications: Kordestani has authored an open-access book on circular economy for tourism entrepreneurs and a book chapter on communication in corporate responsibility work.
