Araceli Arellano Torres

Araceli Arellano Torres is a researcher in the Department of Education at the University of Navarra's Faculty of Education and Psychology (FEP). She holds a PhD from the University of Navarra (2012), focusing on family support for self-determination in individuals with intellectual disabilities. Her research centers on improving socio-educational care for people with intellectual disabilities and neurodevelopmental disorders, including autism, and their families, particularly in self-determination contexts.

She leads the project "Herramientas para la evaluación de la calidad educativa de programas y servicios para alumnado con trastorno del espectro autista y otras alteraciones del neurodesarrollo", funded by Fundación Ciganda Ferrer. She has published 14 indexed articles, 7 book chapters, and coordinated 2 books. She has conducted 13 months of research stays abroad and collaborated with institutions like the University of Warwick and Universidad Popular Autónoma del Estado de Puebla.
