Apu Kapadia

Apu Kapadia serves as an associate professor in the Department of Computer Science and Informatics at Indiana University, leading research at the intersection of security, privacy, and human-centered systems design.

His work focuses on privacy mechanisms for sensor-driven environments, with specific expertise in wearable/mobile computing, anonymous communication systems, and crowdsourced data management. Funded by multiple NSF grants including a CAREER Award, his recent projects develop privacy-preserving technologies for wearable camera imagery. Kapadia's research bridges technical systems with user behavior, emphasizing practical deployable solutions.
