April Vogel

April Vogel, PhD, is a licensed psychologist and Adjunct Professor at Southwestern College (Santa Fe, NM) since 2019. With 30 years of experience, she teaches counseling and art therapy graduate students in courses like Applied Theories of Human Development, Family Therapy, and Psychology of Altruism. Her practice integrates somatic movement, expressive arts therapy, meditation, and nature connection, reflecting her commitment to holistic education and spiritual growth.

• Education: B.A. in Psychology (Stanford University), Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology (University of Miami) with specialization in children/families
• Training: Internship (Franciscan Children’s Hospital/Boston University), Postdoctoral (Johns Hopkins University)

Her research and teaching focus on transformative approaches to counseling, emphasizing mind-body-spirit integration, program evaluation, and "multiple ways of knowing." She co-teaches the Embodied Cosmology course and serves as a Faculty Mentor in the Ph.D. in Visionary Practice and Regenerative Leadership Program (since Fall 2023).

April actively promotes consciousness transformation through education, blending creative methods with clinical scholarship. She works closely with students on partnership leadership, healing modalities, and regenerative pedagogy, while remaining deeply engaged in program evaluation and behavioral health delivery systems.
