Ao WANG is an Assistant Professor in Economics at the University of Warwick, School of Economics, and a Research Associate at the CAGE Research Centre (Public Policy and Data Group). He has held visiting positions at institutions including Caltech and Washington State University.
- Ph.D. in Economics from CREST, France (2016-2020)
- Master's in Economics from Ecole Polytechnique/ENSAE, France
- B.S. in Probability and Statistics from Peking University, China
His research focuses on empirical industrial organization and structural econometrics, with emphasis on demand modeling, complementarity in bundles, Nash-in-Nash bargaining, and revenue management. He also explores structural models for asset pricing and large choice sets.
Recent publications include work on real analytic discrete choice models (2024), sieve BLP estimation (2023), and quantity discounts with empirical IO frameworks (2025). These studies span structural econometrics, product bundling, and market responsiveness analysis.
