Anwei Feng is Chair Professor of Multilingual Education at the School of Education and English, University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNNC), where he has worked since September 2013. He holds a PhD in Language Education and an MA in Applied Linguistics.
- Key research areas: multilingualism, bilingual education, intercultural competence, TESOL, and international education
- Founded the Chinese Society of Multilingualism and Multilingual Education
- Active in supervising over two dozen PhD/EdD students (e.g., Jacob Finifrock, Murphy Ma)
Research Trends: His work spans ethnic minority language education, trilingualism, and cross-cultural pedagogy. Recent publications focus on mother tongue validation in minority communities, intercultural competence development, and challenges in multilingual teacher training.
