Anushka Laha

Anushka Laha is a Junior Specialist and Researcher at the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB), affiliated with the College of Letters & Science. She currently serves as Lab Manager of Dr. Brandon Woo's Center for Research on Interpersonal Behavior (CRIB), focusing on infants' socialization and learning processes. Her work integrates developmental and evolutionary psychology, with a specific emphasis on how infants perceive and interact with others.

Education: B.S. in Cognitive and Behavioral Neuroscience from the University of California, San Diego. Prior experience includes roles as a Research Assistant at UCSD’s SoCal Lab (studying infant cognitive development) and volunteer work in the Jacobus Lab (tracking neurodevelopmental impacts of adolescent substance abuse).

Research interests span developmental psychology, neurodevelopmental effects of substance use, and the evolutionary foundations of social learning. She contributes to interdisciplinary projects at UCSB’s CRIB lab, advancing understanding of interpersonal behavior across developmental stages.
