Anupama Gangavati

Anupama Gangavati, M.D., is an Associate Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of the Division of Geriatric Medicine. She joined the faculty in 2019 and is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in geriatric medicine.

Education:

• Medical Degree: Adichunchanagiri Institute of Medical Sciences, Bellur, India
• Internal Medicine Residency: Northeast Ohio Medical University (Chief Resident)
• Geriatric Medicine Fellowship: Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Boston

Her clinical interests focus on orthostatic hypotension, falls prevention in elderly populations, home-based primary care, perioperative care, and care of frail elderly patients. She is actively engaged in teaching and mentoring students.

Outside medicine, she holds a diploma in Indian classical dance and values family time.
