Anubhav Choudhary

Dr. Anubhav Choudhary is a Research Fellow in Climate Finance Analytics at the Leeds University Business School, University of Leeds, affiliated with the UK Centre for Greening Finance & Investment (CGFI). He is based in the Department of Accounting and Finance within the Faculty of Business, where his work bridges climate science and financial risk assessment, particularly for pension funds and asset management.

His research focuses on evaluating and adapting climate data for financial analytics. Key areas include climatology, meteorology, Indian monsoon dynamics, and Himalayan climate change, with a strong emphasis on cloud-radiative interactions and regional climate modeling. His interdisciplinary approach integrates physical climate risks into investment frameworks.

Dr. Choudhary is actively engaged with financial institutions to support the integration of climate considerations into strategic decision-making. His work at CGFI contributes to national efforts in greening the finance sector.

He has previously held a postdoctoral position at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, Germany, and was a visiting researcher at the University of Würzburg. He is a member of the Indian Meteorological Society and affiliated with the Priestley Centre for Climate Futures at the University of Leeds.

His educational background includes a PhD in Climate Science from Jawaharlal Nehru University, an MSc in Environmental Science, and a BSc in Environment and Water Management.
