Antony Gormley is a British sculptor and installation artist, currently serving as Professor of Art at the European Graduate School (EGS). Born in 1950, he is renowned for works like Angel of the North and Event Horizon. His art explores bodily sensation, urban space, and existential themes, often using his own body as a model. He holds an Honorary Doctorate from the University of Cambridge and is a Fellow of Trinity and Jesus Colleges, Cambridge.
