Antonis Bogris

Antonis Bogris is a Professor at the Department of Informatics and Computer Engineering, School of Engineering, University of West Attica. His research spans optical communication systems, photonic sensors, optical metrology, high-speed transmission networks, data center technologies, and neuromorphic computing. He has co-authored over 200 publications cited more than 3000 times and participates in European (FP5–FP7, Horizon Europe, ESA) and national (GSRT, ELIDEK) projects as a Researcher or Scientific Director.

A Senior Member of Optica, he also represented PADA in the Panhellenic School Network and GUNET, and previously served on the Board of Directors of EDYTE (formerly Hellenic National Science Foundation).
