Antonio Rossini serves as Professor of Italian Studies within the Department of Languages, Literatures and Cultures at the University of Windsor's Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences. He previously held leadership roles as Head of Department and Director of the Humanities Research Group.
His research spans five core disciplines:
- Classical Philology
- Dante Studies
- Film Studies
- Argumentation Theory
- Compared Constitutional Law
Current investigations focus on constitutional document structures across historical periods, examining semantic and logical frameworks from antiquity to modern governance systems. His scholarly output demonstrates sustained engagement with Dante's literary legacy through textual analysis, reception history, and theological interpretation.
Publication trends reveal three dominant trajectories: Dante's transnational reception (particularly in Latin America), manuscript transmission studies of the Divine Comedy, and theological explorations of Dante's work. This multidisciplinary approach bridges literary analysis with constitutional theory and historical contextualization.
