Antonio Marra is a distinguished Full Professor of Accounting and Financial Reporting at Bocconi University in Milan, Italy, and serves as Academic Director of the Master of Science in Accounting, Financial Management, and Control program. He is a member of the Knowledge Group Accounting & Control at SDA Bocconi School of Management and holds visiting positions at Wharton School (University of Pennsylvania), Stern School of Business (New York University), University of Iowa, and Baruch College, reflecting his global academic influence.
His educational foundation includes an undergraduate degree in Accounting and Law, an MSc in Corporate Tax Law, and an MSc in Financial Management—all from Bocconi University—followed by a Ph.D. in Business Administration from the University of Pavia.
Professor Marra's research program centers on accounting quality determinants and their economic consequences, with specialized expertise in mergers and acquisitions where cultural dynamics critically shape accounting outcomes. His work bridges financial reporting, corporate governance, and socio-economic factors like organized crime, yielding actionable insights for both academia and industry.
