Antonio Maglio

Antonio Maglio is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Mathematical Physics and Differential Geometry, Institute of Mathematics of the Polish Academy of Sciences (IM PAN) in Warsaw. He obtained his PhD in Mathematics, Physics, and its Applications from the University of Salerno (Italy) in February 2025, with a thesis on Shifted Contact Structures on Differentiable Stacks, supervised by Luca Vitagliano and Alfonso G. Tortorella.

His research focuses on Contact Geometry, Lie Groupoids, Lie Algebroids, and Differentiable Stacks, with a notable 2024 publication in International Mathematics Research Notices (IMRN). He has presented his work at institutions including the University of São Paulo, University of Göttingen, and University of Würzburg.

Maglio has participated in research stays at the Mathematisches Institut (Göttingen) and Instituto de Matemática e Estatística (São Paulo), and organized the 2024 Poisson 2024 Conference and School in Naples. He has taught undergraduate geometry courses at the University of Salerno since 2020, and is a member of INdAM and the GNSAGA group under the Italian National Institute for Higher Mathematics.
