Antonio Fernandez Alvarez serves as a full-time Professor in the Department of Engineering Design within the College of Industrial Engineering at the University of Vigo, actively contributing to the Research Center in Technologies, Energy and Industrial Processes (CITI) and the TF1 Applied Geotechnologies research group on the Vigo campus.
His academic foundation includes:
- PhD from the University of Vigo (1998): Dissertation titled "Development of Pulsed TV Holography Techniques for Transient Wave Propagation Analysis in Mechanical Elements" under Dr. José Luis Fernández Fernández.
His research specializes in applying holographic methodologies to mechanical engineering challenges, particularly in visualizing and analyzing transient wave phenomena in mechanical systems. This work bridges precision optical measurement with industrial engineering applications, emphasizing practical solutions for dynamic mechanical analysis within the framework of Engineering Design and Graphic Expression.
