Antonio Celia

Antonio Celia is a Visiting Professor in practice at the London School of Economics (University of London), where he leverages his extensive corporate and executive experience to contribute to academic discourse. He holds an engineering degree from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and has pursued executive education in finance at MIT, Universidad de los Andes, and Wharton School of Business.

His research interests focus on conflict resolution, education reform, regional development, and strengthening state capacity in Latin America. He has been a lifelong advocate for peacebuilding, particularly in Colombia, where he played key roles in advancing peace treaties with organizations like the ELN and FARC.

Celia has held influential advisory and leadership roles across the public, private, and nonprofit sectors. He co-founded and chaired Empresarios por la Educación, served as Chairman of the National Board of ANDI, and currently sits on the boards of Universidad del Norte, Fedesarrollo, and Shakira's Fundación Pies Descalzos. He also chairs Contexto, a digital media platform launched in 2020.
