Dr. Antoni Gomila Benejam is a Full Professor of Psychology (Thinking and Language) at the Psychology Department of the University of the Balearic Islands. His academic background includes a PhD in Philosophy (1990) from the University of the Balearic Islands and a Fulbright postdoc at Rutgers University under Jerry Fodor. He has also held positions at the Universities of Salamanca and La Laguna. His research focuses on interdisciplinary areas between philosophy, psychology, and cognitive science, emphasizing evolutionary perspectives on meaning, mental representation, and cognition. He has led sabbaticals at the University of St. Andrews and is a main researcher in the Human Evolution and Cognition (EvoCog) group.
