Antonello Zanfei

Antonello Zanfei is a Full Professor at the Department of Economics, Society, and Politics (DESP) at the University of Urbino Carlo Bo, Italy. He serves as Coordinator of the PhD Course and focuses on applied economics with a specialization in global value chains (GVCs), economic inequality, and innovation studies. His research explores functional diversification in GVCs, climate change impacts on inequality, and FDI-driven technological adoption.

Key research interests include analyzing how GVC positioning affects economic resilience and industrial policy, as well as investigating cross-border innovation networks and their implications for regional development. He has contributed to understanding the role of FDI in knowledge transfer and the interplay between technology adoption and competitiveness in industries like automotive manufacturing.
