Antonella Cugini is Affiliate Professor of Accounting and Control at SDA Bocconi School of Management, Università Commerciale Luigi Bocconi, and concurrently serves as Full Professor of Business Economics at Università della Valle d'Aosta, Department of Economic Sciences.
Education
- Graduated Magna cum laude from Università Bocconi.

- High-school diploma with honors.
Research Interests
Her research spans eight major domains, integrating accounting with strategic management. Central themes include cost management in service and industrial enterprises, performance evaluation in universities, marketing metrics, customer profitability governance, multidimensional performance measurement tools, balanced scorecard and strategy maps, activity-based costing/management systems, and value-based cost controlling for customers.
Publication Focus
Between 2013 and 2018 her articles have concentrated on healthcare cost accounting, customer profitability in professional services, performance management in Italian enterprises, and innovation in railway costing practices, reflecting a strong applied orientation toward improving managerial decision-making.
Scientific Awards

Programs & Consulting
At SDA Bocconi she coordinates executive programs on analytical accounting & costing and on sales planning & control. She has designed and led international courses with Robert Kaplan of Harvard Business School, focusing on performance improvement through innovation and strategic management, and has delivered numerous consulting projects for leading industrial and service companies.
