Anton Kuzyk is a Professor at the Department of Neuroscience and Biomedical Engineering, Aalto University. His research focuses on DNA nanotechnology, plasmonics, and molecular self-assembly to create artificial molecular systems tailored for biosensing, nanoplasmonics, and biomimetics.
Recent publications highlight his work on DNA-based photothermal agents for nanomedicine, chiral plasmonic sensors for analytical chemistry, and algorithmic design of RNA nanostructures. His research bridges nanotechnology with biomedical engineering to develop adaptive nanoscale materials.
Scientific awards include:
- Novo Nordisk Foundation - Pioneer Innovation Grant (2022)
- Marie Sklodowska-Curie Action Individual Fellowship (2021)
- Humboldt Research Fellowship (2013)
He has received grants from the Department of Neuroscience and Biomedical Engineering for projects like Colorsens, which explores DNA nanoswitches for point-of-care diagnostics.
