Anto Aasa is an Associate Professor of Human Geography at the University of Tartu's Institute of Ecology and Earth Sciences. He holds a joint position as a Lecturer in Geography and Geoinformatics at the University of Augsburg (0.10 FTE). His career includes roles as Senior Research Fellow and Research Fellow at Tartu University since 2003, with prior experience as a Lecturer and Researcher in Geography. Aasa specializes in spatial analysis, climate science, and mobile positioning data applications, focusing on topics like urban mobility, environmental monitoring, and phenological changes.
