Anthony Walker

Anthony Walker serves as Adjunct Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurship at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business while concurrently operating as General Partner at Next Coast Legacy, where he sits on the Investment Committee focusing on small/medium buyout investments through the Search model. With nearly 20 years in investment management, his career spans Goldman Sachs, Citadel LLC, Millennium Management, Ariel Investments, and Barclays Capital.

Education:

• MBA in Finance and Entrepreneurship from University of Chicago Booth School of Business
• BA in Economics and Political Science from Columbia University

Professor Walker's research and teaching centers on practical entrepreneurship through acquisition (search funds), leveraging his extensive investment experience in chemicals and industrial sectors. His expertise includes financial modeling, portfolio management, and risk-adjusted returns strategies, informed by producing Citadel's second-highest Sharpe Ratio in Global Equities. He teaches 'Entrepreneurship through Acquisition' for Spring 2025 and Autumn 2025 semesters.
