Anthony Sgambellone

Dr. Anthony Sgambellone serves as a Researcher and Scientific Test and Analysis Techniques (STAT) Expert at the STAT Center of Excellence (COE) within the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT), providing instruction and support in test design and analysis across the Department of Defense since 2020.

His academic credentials include:

• BS in Biology, Case Western Reserve University
• MS in Statistics, University of Akron
• PhD in Statistics, The Ohio State University

His research integrates statistical methodologies and machine learning to optimize defense testing processes, focusing on efficient experimental design and analysis frameworks. Prior industry experience includes developing machine-learning models in finance and Agile software development for Wright Patterson Air Force Base.

As a core member of the STAT COE, he advances DoD-wide test and evaluation standards through collaborative projects and instructional programs.
